Lead trial counsel recommended that his client, a national personal care and beauty products manufacturer, retain Todd as its litigation consultant to assist with the defense of a putative class action lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on behalf of hundreds of consumers throughout the country.  The litigation presented a significant threat to the company's brand, and Todd was asked to work closely with the company's founder and lead product developer to prepare for several potential depositions and eventual testimony in a bellwether trial.  Todd and trial counsel had developed an excellent working relationship during a prior engagement in which they partnered to prepare several employees of a leading adventure sports equipment manufacturer for testimony in a case involving catastrophic personal injuries and several millions of dollars in claimed damages.
