A national financial services firm engaged Todd to assist its legal team with the strategic development of its accounting malpractice claims against a certified public accounting firm based in the Rocky Mountain states after the accountants' failure to conduct proper financial audits over the course of several years exposed the financial services firm to over $10 million in potential losses.  Todd worked closely with the legal team to identify and evaluate the client's claims and defenses to the accountants' anticipated counterclaims, and he partnered with trial counsel to prepare the client's five witnesses for what was expected to be highly contentious deposition examination.  As a result of excellent work on the part of the trial team, and with Todd's assistance, the client was able to recover a significant sum from the accountants in settlement of its claims and minimize its overall exposure.
